Here's who I am
Love me, but don't tell me who I have to be
Here's who I am, I'm what you see...

priceless

(This post is long overdue, inaabangan kasi ito ng mga pinsan ko somewhere. Nakakapressure nakakatoxic! Kaya kailangan ko isulat!)

Finally, the road going to Manila was cleared! I went home to our hometown after days of isolation in the north! Sa wakas! Life goes on after the flood in Peppermint. My cousin Cel and I decided to give the kids a treat. Everyone’s excited with the “combined” birthday party of my Nanay, my nephew Yazid, my niece Nicole, my cousin Cel, and cousin -in-law Ate Fides. It was the longest weekend celebration ever!

pepeng malaki

It’s been a week after my terrifying experience with typhoon Ondoy. Now, it’s typhoon Pepeng that I have to encounter! My activity in Baguio was canceled due to this category 5 typhoon. Yes! I’m in Baguio, part of North Luzon where the typhoon is said to hit the most. It’s now signal number 2 in Benguet. Strong wind and heavy downpour of rain started in late afternoon today.

I still managed to go out. VEV was scheduled for tune up. I brought VEV to the casa after I had breakfast.

I went to ukay before going home. I got some really nice items which costs me 120 pesos. Other stalls are still closed, maybe because of the rain. They did not open early or they won’t open at all.

There’s no electricity when I got home.

I ate again! Burp! Sorry, excuse me!

I read my new book of Mitch Albom’s “Have A Little Faith”.

It’s very cold, Brrr!

I fell asleep, Zzzz… Hush! Hush! Baby’s sleeping! Sshh! Sshh!

The strong wind blowing and the heavy rain woke me up.

I think I’m over sleeping!

I stood up and ate lunch,

Now I’m overeating!

VEV is ready for release, I went to the casa.

There is no electricity so I went to a place where I can harvest my crops, and leveled up!

The batch was supposed to meet for dinner, for Betty Boop’s (– no more) despedida, but she is not feeling well so we canceled. She has flu, but we “jokingly” suspected it’s more than it. I suggested her to consult a doctor; she declined since flight is scheduled on Tuesday. She should know better. We wished her to get well.

I saw some residents in SM; they’re going to watch a movie. I asked what movie, “In My Life” they answered. They said that I should watch it! If they only knew! Not again! Maybe they’re just kidding me but they will actually watch “Surrogates”, well, I guess.

I texted my nephew if there’s already electricity in the house. He replied “meron na, uwian mo ako ng burger”. A burger, this will cost me for just asking if there’s electricity in the house?!

I went to buy for a burger meal. I also went to buy at the other store, my favorite “choco-vanilla (love) affair” if that's what it's being called. I don't know! Choco brownies/cup cake topped with vanilla ice cream. Yum!

The waitress was hesitant when I ordered for to go. She said it cannot be ordered for takeout since they’re going to heat the chocolate in an oven and that it cannot be transferred to a plastic container because the container will melt etc. etc. blah blah blah!

Bitchinessa as I am, I told her “pwera sa’yo, sino pwedeng kausapin?!” Another lady attended to me and I got what I wanted!

Mathey is already injecting insulin to Papa when I got home. They’re in the sala.

I saw them by the screen door. I shouted “Aray! Aray! Aray!”

HA!HA!HA!

While having dinner, we saw the news that Cagayan was being devastated by Pepeng. Scary and sad...

Let us continue praying that our country will be saved from further calamities and may God embrace us with His protective grace and merciful blessings. AMEN!

NEWS FLASH!!!

PAGASA announced that super typhoon Pepeng’s scope is so huge! Therefore , PAGASA gave a new name for the typhoon:

"PEPENG MALAKI"

HA!HA!HA! Pampakalma lang!

Thanks hunn for making me laugh...

3

"Let us pray for the safety of our co-employees.

2:30 PM. Galleria. Kumain. Sobrang gutom! Wala ako magawa, nanood ulit ng In My Life for the 3rd time!

When everything seem to go wrong, there's always facebook!

3 years ago si Milenyo.

daddy

I went to a grocery store with Chamyto, my pamangkin sa pinsan and inaanak. I was requested to buy a sparkling water, so that we could mix the Kahlua that my officemate gave me as present during my birthday last year. It was Chamyto's 10th birthday celebration along with other celebrants in the family. We usually celebrate occasions in one party, for us to save time and expenses, for one time cooking and washing of dishes. We do this especially if we are going to invite and expect the same visitors.

When we were at the cashier to pay for the groceries, the cashier punched in the items we bought, the bagger put the groceries in the plastic bags, and fixes it. Chamyto tried to carry one grocery bag that seemed to be heavy. He was cautioned by the bagger, "hwag mo ng buhatin yan, mabigat. kay daddy na yan".

I was shocked! "daddy? mukha ba akong daddy?". Chamyto told the bagger, "hindi ko sya daddy, ninong!". The bagger was apologetic, and insistently said:"ganun na rin yun"...

daddy, mukha (na) ba akong daddy???
